Yakutsk Plants 152 Trees After Illegal Felling, Urges Citizens to Report Green Space Destruction

In Yakutsk, JSC 'RIK Avtodor' has completed a compensatory greening project on Pyarkov Street, planting 152 new trees. This action follows a directive from the Municipal Inspectorate after three trees were illegally felled on Khabarov Street without a permit from the Department of Housing and Public Services and Energy. The responsible party for the illegal felling remains unidentified.

The landscaping rules in Yakutsk require a 50-fold replacement of trees cut down. JSC 'RIK Avtodor' complied with this regulation, planting 152 trees to compensate for the three lost on Khabarov Street.

Citizens are encouraged to report cases of illegal destruction of green spaces. They can do so at Dzerzhinsky Street, 21 or by calling 22-31-26. The newly planted trees will enhance the ecological state of the territory, boost landscaping levels, and create a more comfortable environment for residents and guests of the city. Any tree felling or formal pruning in Yakutsk requires prior permission from the Department of Housing and Public Utilities and Energy.

The compensatory greening on Pyarkov Street demonstrates Yakutsk's commitment to maintaining and improving its green spaces. Despite the illegal felling on Khabarov Street, the city has taken steps to rectify the situation and ensure the responsible party is held accountable.
