Weekend Highlights: 2ANNAS Event, Health-Focused Dating, Eco-Friendly Sunday
Green Sunday, a community event focused on promoting sustainability and symbiosis, will take place in Lastādija on April 6. The event, which runs from 12:00 to 16:00, is open to the public and will be held at Vilhelma Purvīša Street 15, Rīga.
The Green Sunday event brings together local environmental organizations, community leaders, school representatives, and municipal officials. The festival offers a variety of activities, including a speed-dating event with members of Rīga Stradiņš University research groups, a seed and plant swapping event, and a Brīvbode buy-nothing exchange shop.
Attendees can declutter their living space and find items they need at the Brīvbode shop. The festival also focuses on the biological, societal, and artistic level, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage in meaningful discussions and activities.
During the Green Sunday event, attendees can check their heart and eye health, get nutrition tips, measure capillary glucose, measure muscle strength, determine their psycho-emotional state, and become a blood donor (if eligible). These additional services are free of charge and do not require an appointment.
Repair Cafe Riga will run a Repair Workshop during the Green Sunday event. Attendees can get help fixing their bikes, phones, blenders, and clothing at the workshop. The festival also includes Industry Days offering masterclasses, discussions, networking platforms, and special workshops for aspiring film critics.
It's important to note that the Green Sunday event is not part of the 2ANNAS festival, which takes place from 4 to 10 April. However, more information about the 2ANNAS festival, including the International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS, can be found on the 2ANNAS website.
