Upcoming Neighborhood Garage Sale in Geist District on September 7th
The Geistviertel neighborhood flea market is set to return on September 7, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm. Organised by Gemeinwesenarbeit Geistviertel (DRK Lünen) and the city of Lünen, this much-anticipated event promises a day filled with camaraderie, exchange, and a unique perspective of the district.
This year, the flea market will see the addition of a waffle stand run by the DRK-Kita Geistervilla support association. Alongside the new sweet treat, you can expect to find a variety of items for sale, such as household goods, clothing, antiques, toys, books, handmade crafts, and more.
Around 130 stalls have been registered for the event, which is more than last year, indicating a growing interest and participation from the community. Tim Jesella from the community work department continues to express delight at the strong involvement of Geistviertel residents in the flea market.
As always, free browsing is offered at the flea market, allowing visitors to explore the various stalls at their leisure. For those needing a break, the use of toilets will be free during the event.

In addition to the wide array of items for sale, food and drinks will also be available. The sale of drinks and grilled sausages will be available at Friedrichstraße 65 B.
