Outdoor Life and Beyond
Unveiling the Social Fabric Through Rice Cultivation: A Peek into Community Ties
Growing up, I craved the great outdoors. My high school days were spent at Kap Yan Directors' College, where I was on the cross-country team. With our coach, we'd jet off to the country park for training sessions, leaving school behind for most of the day. It was a sweet escape to nature. Despite my occasional scholastic laxities, I managed to ace my exams.
Montana
Montana, not just a US state but also home to a rock band hailing from Hong Kong, played a significant role in my life. During my teenage years, I spent a year there as part of a student exchange program. Art classes stole my heart, offering me an unparalleled creative freedom that fueled my artistic journey.
Connection to Nature
Nature and I share a profound bond, a connection nurtured since my days as a child. I was raised in Sheung Shui, close to the border, frequently visiting my aunt's farm nearby. As a farmer and environmental artist, my rice harvest pays homage to my heritage, strengthening the deep roots I share with mother earth.
Schooling and Artistic Development
My Montana sojourn was not just about having fun; it shaped my future in more ways than one. The local school I attended offered an enriching experience in art classes, building a strong foundation for my artistic career. The creative spirit I encountered in Montana remains a cherished memory.

- As I ventured into Montana, I found myself immersed in a new culture, one that celebrated art and creative expression, much like the school I attended back in Hong Kong.
- Back in Hong Kong, I channeled my experiences from living and learning in Montana into my art, creating pieces that reflected a fusion of schooling, art, and outdoor-living, a testament to my diverse upbringing.
