RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025: A Glimpse Into the 16 Show Gardens
The anticipation for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025 is growing, as the list of gardens to be featured at the event is slowly being revealed. Although the complete list is not yet fully detailed, it has been confirmed that there will be 16 show gardens gracing the showgrounds.[2]
One of the gardens that has already been announced is the British Red Cross 'Here for Humanity' Garden.[2] Another notable garden is the London Square Chelsea Pensioners Garden, designed by Dave Green. This garden was visited by Her Majesty and will be relocated to the Royal Hospital Chelsea after the show.[5]
Among the announced gardens, Ros Coutts-Harwood's Children with Cancer "A Place to BE" garden and the Carey Garden Design Studio's Addleshaw Goddard: Freedom to Flourish Garden are worth mentioning. Hospice UK, The King's Trust, Down's Syndrome Scotland, and The Pathway are among the gardens sponsored by Project Giving Back in 2025.[3]
Manoj Malde, who got married on his RHS Feature Garden in 2023, is designing the Tackle HIV Challenging Stigma Garden, sponsored by ViiV Healthcare.[4] Project Giving Back is sponsoring several gardens at Chelsea in 2025, including The Glasshouse Garden designed by Jo Thompson.[3] It's also worth noting that Project Giving Back is extending funding at Chelsea into 2026.
The Avande Garden, designed by Tom Massey and Je Ahn, creators of the gold-medal winning WaterAid Garden at The Chelsea Flower Show in 2024, is another garden to look forward to. The Avande Garden will have a digital twin accessible via QR code.[6] It is hoped to become a community garden in London after the show and a test-bed for similar developments.
The London Square Developments and Chelsea Pensioners Garden, designed for Chelsea Pensioners and their families, features woodland space.[5] The Carey Garden Design Studio's Addleshaw Goddard garden focuses on personal restoration and wellbeing.[3]
Killik & Co are returning with designer Baz Grainger for the Killik & Co Futureproof Garden at Chelsea 2025.[7] Catherine MacDonald is designing The Boodles Raindance Garden for Chelsea 2025.[8]
The Ros Coutts-Harwood's Children with Cancer garden focuses on providing a place for children with cancer.[3] The Avande 'Intelligent Garden' is designed to provide data about garden conditions for sustainable gardening.[6]
The Garden of the Future, sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, focuses on the future of gardening.[9] Kazuyuki Ishihara is designing the Cha no Niwa Japanese Tea Garden, sponsored by Calmic Japan.[10]
With so many exciting gardens to look forward to, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025 promises to be an unforgettable event.
