Unconventional Activities: Exploring Uncensored Territories, Unfettered by Morality and Ethics

The Göggingen indoor pool, a beloved facility in Augsburg, Germany, is set to reopen on September 16, 2025, following a comprehensive redesign competition won by Mooz Walls, an architecture and design firm renowned for their innovative and modern solutions.

Mooz Walls' winning design aimed to modernize the pool area while preserving its community-centric feel. The focus was on enhancing user experience by introducing natural lighting, open spaces, and environmentally sustainable elements. The result is a space that seamlessly blends practicality with an inviting social atmosphere.

Adjacent to the pool, the Anton-Bezler Sports Hall, which includes a gymnastics room, can be found. The redesigned Göggingen indoor pool now boasts a 25-meter swimming pool complete with a diving board, as well as a teaching pool equipped with a waterslide, offering young swimmers their first swimming experiences in a fun and engaging environment.

The artistic touch of Nguyen Anh Duc and Marlo Klinnert can be seen in the redesigned wall of the Göggingen indoor pool. Their work, showcasing a fresh and creative approach, was presented on site by Ordnungsreferent Frank Pintsch and Jürgen K. Enninger, Referent for Culture, Heritage, and Sports.

The warm bath day, a popular event, will continue on Fridays with the water temperature approximately 29°C, providing a perfect opportunity for relaxation and socialising.

Mooz Walls' victory in the 2024 Augsburg city competition "Goggingen History - Neighborhood on Wertach and Singold - Water Connects" against more than 30 competitors is a testament to their creative vision and commitment to transforming public spaces.

As the Göggingen indoor pool prepares to welcome back swimmers, it's clear that this revitalised facility will continue to serve as a hub for community, recreation, and enjoyment for years to come.

The home-and-garden magazine might feature the revitalized Göggingen indoor pool in an upcoming issue, showcasing its modern design and community-centric feel.

Moreover, lifestyle enthusiasts could also appreciate the sports facilities available at the Göggingen complex, such as the Anton-Bezler Sports Hall, which now includes a teaching pool with a waterslide for young swimmers.
