Hohenburg Church Festival: A Weekend of Celebration and Entertainment

The charming town of Hohenburg is gearing up for its annual church festival, taking place from the last weekend in July. The festivities will unfold between the town hall and the parish church St. Jakobus, promising a joyous gathering for the community and visitors alike.

The event is organised by a collaboration of local groups, including the OGV, TuS, volunteer fire department, women's association, and shooting club. The schedule is packed with a variety of activities, starting from Saturday.

At 14:30 on Sunday, the Trio Bayer will entertain the crowd with tree dancing and a "Schnoderhupfl" singing performance. The group "Saba z'dreckat" will take the stage on Saturday evening, starting at 20:00.

On Sunday morning, a service will be held in the parish church St. Jakobus. Lunch, coffee, and cake will be available from 11:00 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Catering with various specialties and grilled dishes will be available throughout the festival. The Salleroeder Boum performance is scheduled for 19:30 on Monday, July 28.

On Monday, activities will be viewable from 15:00. The Hohenburg kindergarten performance is set for 18:00 on the same day. The festival tree will be set up on Saturday, July 26, at 13:00.

The festival tree auction is planned for around 21:30 on Monday, July 28. Two women from the Amberg-Sulzbacher region have won prizes for their festival photos, adding to the festive spirit.

On Sunday evening, starting at 20:00, there will be a festival dance by the former festival organizers at the market square. For accurate and up-to-date information, we recommend checking local event calendars, contacting the organisers directly, or following local news sources.

The festival's entertainment extends to various domains, including a home-and-garden themed performance by Saba z'dreckat on Saturday evening. Additionally, visitors can look forward to a lifestyle event on Monday evening, as the Hohenburg kindergarten puts on a performance at the market square.
