Sitting Pretty: Your Guide to the Best Furniture Discounters in Germany
Top Selling Affordable Furniture Retailers
Hey there, looking for a comfy deal on some new furniture? While price is important, it's not the only factor that matters. In a world where customers seek a perfect balance of savings and satisfaction, we take a look at how Germany's popular furniture discounters fare.
According to a study by the German Institute for Service Quality, furniture stores managed an average score of 75.6 points, earning a "good" rating.
The Service Sector with a Satisfied Clientele
The discounted furniture industry impressed most with their price-performance ratio - around 83% of respondents were genuinely happy, with an impressive 42% expressing extreme satisfaction. The extensive product range and service also received positive feedback, with nearly 80% of customers pleased with both.
Needing a Bit More Oomph
Despite the positive feedback, there's always room for improvement. Around 29% of respondents weren't impressed with the consultation competence, while about 36% felt the delivery and assembly could use some work. In comparison to traditional furniture stores, the clarity and presentation in stores were slightly criticized.
Highly Recommended
Despite the minor shortcomings, the strong customer satisfaction translates into a powerful recommendation rate - around 81% of respondents would recommend their furniture store to friends or family, with the attractive price-performance ratio being the key driver.
"Furniture discounters that offer more than just low prices, but also a great selection and solid service, foster trust and long-term customer satisfaction," says Bianca Möller, Managing Director of the German Institute for Service Quality.
The Cream of the Crop
Roller, with a "good" quality rating, takes the number one spot. The company shines in store design - around 51% of customers chose the best possible answer. Roller also scores high in the recommendation rate - an astonishing 88% of respondents would spread the word. In five other categories, including price-performance ratio, service, and consultation competence, Roller nabs a top 2 position.
Poco Furniture Markets also earn a "good" quality rating and excel in price-performance ratio - around 91% of respondents are happy campers. Poco also leads in service - a whopping 83% of customers are pleased. Other strengths lie in the product range and delivery and assembly.
Rounding out the top three is Jysk with a good overall rating. The consultation competence is particularly highlighted - 82% of respondents rate this positively. The company also lands top 3 positions in service, product range, and recommendation rate.
