Tomorrow, the city extends an invitation for a cycling expedition, led by a guide.

Join a unique and eco-friendly experience in Halle (Saale) next September as the city hosts a free guided bicycle tour as part of the national Mobility Week and the European Mobility Week.

The tour, starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, 20th September 2025, will take you on an approximately 14-kilometer journey through the city's beautiful landscapes and significant landmarks. City employees will guide you, sharing local peculiarities, fascinating insights into nature, and updates on environmental projects.

The route will include popular spots like the Weinbergwiesen, Gimritzer Damm, Schöpfwerk in the Passendorfer Damm, Südpark, Kleiner Angersdorfer Teich, Steinbruch- and Heidesee. The tour will conclude at Rennbahnkreuz.

This year's European Mobility Week theme is 'Mix and Move! - Climate-friendly mobility', encouraging the use of new transport modes. The event aims to promote sustainable mobility and showcase various options available in cities and municipalities across Europe.

The European Mobility Week is an annual campaign by the European Commission, held during the third week of September. The campaign encourages cities to organise events and activities that promote climate-friendly mobility and reduce traffic congestion and emissions.

The meeting point for the tour will be on the square between the Rennbahnkreuz bus stops. No specific equipment requirements have been mentioned, but it is recommended to bring a bicycle, a helmet, and appropriate clothing for the weather.

The tour is approximately two to three hours long, and a map of the bike route, along with additional information, can be found on the website by searching for 'Mobility Week'.

Join us for this exciting journey and discover the beautiful city of Halle (Saale) while promoting climate-friendly mobility. Let's mix and move towards a greener future!
