The city of Gütersloh is gearing up for the eleventh edition of the "Living Gardens" event series, taking place from September 10, 2025. This 15-event series, organised by the Environmental Protection Department of the city and the Volkshochschule, aims to provide a wealth of information about gardening, sustainability, and garden design.

September 10: Kick-starting the series, the "Living Gardens in Gütersloh" event will offer a warm welcome to all, whether experienced garden enthusiasts or beginners.

September 19: Garden planner Daniela Toman will lead a tour of the city park and botanical garden, offering insights into the design and maintenance of these beautiful spaces.

September 25: Dr. Heidi Lorey, a renowned garden expert, will share tips on growing winter vegetables, ensuring a bountiful harvest even in colder months.

October 8: Prof. Dr. Michael Böhm, a garden architect, will give a lecture on "The Garden in Climate Change", discussing how gardens can adapt to changing weather patterns and contribute to a more sustainable future.

October 8: Garden architect Tanja Minardo will also present a lecture on the same day, focusing on "The Garden in Climate Change".

Throughout the series, attendees can expect to learn about vegetable culture, modern and nature-friendly garden design, and wild herb cuisine. The events will also delve into the importance of sustainability and how it can be incorporated into gardening practices.
