Summertime arrival of Claridge's Bakery awaits

In a thrilling development for the culinary scene in London, Claridge's Hotel, a renowned institution in the heart of the city, is set to open Claridge's Bakery in late summer 2025. The bakery will be located in the bustling city and will complement Claridge's existing dining options, which include afternoon tea in The Foyer, vintage champagnes at Claridge's Bar and The Fumoir, refined dining in Claridge's Restaurant, and cocktails at The Painter's Room.

Richard Hart, an internationally acclaimed baker, has been appointed as the Executive Baker and Creative Director at Claridge's Bakery. Hart brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco and co-founded Hart Bageri in Copenhagen with René Redzepi of Noma.

Hart expresses excitement and honour at the opportunity to lead Claridge's Bakery. His goal is to celebrate timeless British baked favourites in one of the most notable British institutions. The bakery will be open to both hotel guests and London locals, aiming to bring people together and share Hart's unique take on traditional British treats.

Claridge's Bakery will offer a variety of British treats with a contemporary twist. Expect to find bloomers, granary loaves, jam tarts, Belgian buns, iced fingers, and Hart's signature sourdough on the menu. The bakery aims to showcase Hart's expertise in sourdough, which he honed during his time at Tartine in San Francisco.

With the opening of Claridge's Bakery, Londoners and visitors to the capital will have another exciting dining destination to explore. The bakery promises to be a must-visit for anyone with a love for traditional British baked goods with a modern twist. Stay tuned for more updates as the opening date approaches.
