Suggestion needed for the moniker of a verdant space - Upcoming park and playground within the development project "On the Rode" will unveil in October
The much-anticipated Rodepark in Lippstadt is set to open its doors on October 9, 2025. This expansive park-like facility, located at the heart of the new development "Auf dem Rode", will serve as a gathering point for all generations.
Rodepark offers a variety of activities for everyone. Older children can enjoy a rope course, trampolines, seesaws, giant swings, and a new sand and water play area. There's also a hill with wooden elements for climbing and exploring, a playhouse with a slide for the little ones, and a soccer field for young footballers to show off their skills.
The park aims to be more than just a place for play. It aspires to be a hub where meeting, movement, and play can coexist. Water is pumped into a small stream with a weir, flowing into a sand area, adding a touch of natural fun to the park.
In a unique initiative, children are invited to submit creative, funny, interesting, and diverse name suggestions for the park. The best name will be selected internally and rewarded at the park's official opening. To participate, simply email your suggestions to [email protected] by October 3, 2025.
