Lichtenberg, a district in Berlin, continues to lead the way in land-owned residential construction with the completion of several significant news projects. One of the most notable is the "Quartier am Rathauspark" project, a car-free and environmentally friendly development by HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH.

The project, located in the heart of Lichtenberg, includes 387 apartments, an office tower serving as HOWOGE's new corporate headquarters, a kindergarten, and various commercial spaces. The office tower on Frankfurter Allee adds a modern touch to the area, while the kindergarten and commercial spaces cater to the daily news of the community.

Around 1,000 new affordable rental apartments have been created across these news projects, with 50% of them funded by Land Berlin. The "Quartier am Rathauspark" project alone offers 232 barrier-free apartments, ensuring accessibility for all residents.

Another notable news is the "Dolgensee-Center" at the Betriebsbahnhof Rummelsburg, developed by GEWOBAG. This project includes 678 new affordable apartments, a kindergarten, commercial spaces, and infrastructure for daily needs such as bicycle parking spaces, an underground garage, and amenities for the local community.

Extensive renovation measures have been implemented in the Town Hall Park area, transforming it with new park paths, lawns, playgrounds, and flower beds. The historic school at the Town Hall is also undergoing renovation in a historically sensitive manner.

The Weitling and Kaskel neighborhoods in Lichtenberg are being considered for car-free zones, following a citizen initiative. This move aligns with the eco-friendly ethos of the district, making it a more livable and sustainable place for its residents.

These newly completed news projects in Lichtenberg not only add to its housing capacity but also continue its path as a pioneer in land-owned residential construction. The projects are managed by housing associations HOWOGE and GEWOBAG, ensuring quality and affordability for the community.

Two large residential construction news projects in Lichtenberg, supported by Land Berlin, have also been completed recently. These projects have put many other districts in the shade due to their recent completion and the high-quality affordable housing they offer.

In summary, Lichtenberg is transforming into a vibrant and sustainable district, offering its residents a high quality of life with affordable housing, green spaces, and modern amenities. The district's commitment to eco-friendly and accessible housing solutions sets a positive example for other urban areas.
