Vibrant Woman in Her 50s from Thuringia, Silke Bruckmann, is Tirelessly Preparing Homes for Sale, known as home staging. She also manages events on the side. Having lived an eventful life, she spent considerable time abroad, settling in the Palatinate, and eventually came back to her roots. But what she's keen on finding now isn't just anyone - it's him: Jan.

Silke, a Bauhaus enthusiast, is on the hunt for Bauhaus-Jan.

Sixty-year-old Silke Brückmann of Thuringia is on a quest. She's hunting for a man named Jan, whom she met at the Bauhaus Museum in Dessau. On March 30th, Silke was set to explore the museum's master houses, but an unexpected encounter altered her plans.

Standing before the second house, Silke felt a sense of uncertainty about whether it was part of the exhibition. She rang the bell, and a woman from the museum confirmed her suspicion. As they stood together, a man appeared, also questioning the house's status. They both laughed, sensing a shared thought, and an instant rapport formed.

The pair toured the Bauhaus exhibition, discussing the past, DDR times, travels, and old switches. Jan, a man with gray hair, a charming smile, and a knack for DIY, impressed Silke with his knowledge of retro Bakelite switches. They found common ground in their love for old houses, windows, and the simpler pleasures of life.

What drew Silke to Jan? His serene, friendly demeanor and diverse interests stood out. They conversed about the US, built-in cabinets, the Leipzig flea market, and even coffee machines in detail. Despite the casual encounter, they failed to exchange contact information.

Silke waited for a sign to reach out and find Jan again. This led her to share her story on Radio Leipzig, hoping that Jan would recognize her account. According to her description, Jan is approximately 1.78 meters tall, in his fifties, with gray hair, wearing a brown jacket, jeans, and was traveling in a motorhome with an alcove. He lives near a Leipzig park where someone occasionally plays the trumpet and may run a workshop.

In her message to Jan, Silke expresses gratitude for the memorable afternoon they spent together. She invites him to reach out and reconnect – be it for a coffee or a visit to the flea market. Silke is open to starting anew, emphasizing that there's no need for grand gestures, just the opportunity for two kindred spirits to connect again.

In the shared exploration of the Bauhaus exhibition, Silke and Jan discovered a mutual fondness for home-and-garden, as they admired the simpler pleasures of life and reminisced about vintage Bakelite switches. Moreover, they recognized their affinity for relationships, as their conversation extended to love-and-dating topics such as travels, built-in cabinets, and the Leipzig flea market.
