Playboy Inc. is set to make a grand return to Miami Beach, as the company announces its decision to relocate its global headquarters from Los Angeles. The move, scheduled for September 2026, will see the iconic brand establish its new base at the top of a luxury office building on Michigan Avenue north of Lincoln Road.

The city of Miami Beach will not only be the new home for Playboy's headquarters but also the location for a new Playboy Club. Residents Mario Lombardi and Rosie Zapata have expressed their enthusiasm about the return of Playboy to their city. Lombardi, a long-time resident, reminisced about the brand's previous presence in Miami Beach during the 1960s and '70s. Zapata, on the other hand, supports Playboy's decision to move, believing it aligns well with Miami Beach's vibrant and lively atmosphere.

The new headquarters will house more than just offices. It will also include studios to support Playboy's creator network, aiming to foster a dynamic environment for content creation. The headquarters' move comes after Playboy ceased publishing its monthly print magazine in 2020, focusing instead on online content.

Miami Beach Commissioner Joe Magazine has been in negotiations with Playboy executives for six months. He believes that the lifestyle of Playboy matches the vibe of Miami Beach, making it an ideal location for the brand's global headquarters.

The arrival of Playboy is expected to result in 200 people working, playing, and living in Miami Beach. This influx of new employees will contribute to job creation, particularly in technology, media, entertainment, and hospitality sectors. Over the years, Playboy opened clubs around the world, with the first one opening in Chicago in 1960, serving as the headquarters of the company at the time.
