Regenerative Architecture Index Event Scheduled for 2025

2025 Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI) Celebration Announced

The Regenerative Architecture Index (RAI), a collaboration between Architecture Today and UK Architects Declare, is set to celebrate its 2025 edition on Thursday 2 October 2025, from 6.00pm to 10.00pm at Broadway Malyan, Holmes House, 4 Pear Pl, London SE1 8BT.

The RAI is a benchmarking tool that assesses architectural practices' progress towards regenerative working and projects. It focuses on how practices are moving beyond sustainability towards regenerative approaches that restore and renew the environment, communities, and cultural contexts through their design and construction methods.

The event will feature networking, food, drink, DJs, and dancing, making it an enjoyable evening for all attendees. General admission is £149 (+VAT), but for those who entered the 2025 RAI, tickets are available for £99 (+VAT) per person. A discount code has been issued for those who entered the RAI.

The evening will begin with a welcome from Broadway Malyan, followed by introductions from AT Editor Isabel Allen and UK Architects Declare. Food will be served at 18.30.

Throughout the evening, several speakers will present on various topics related to regenerative architecture. Phoebe Tickell will introduce Co-evolving with nature and announce front runners. Roman Crznaric will introduce Being and Good Ancestor and announce front runners. Immy Kaur will introduce Creating a just space for people and announce front runners.

RAI client Beau Lotto will launch a new RAI opportunity, and an interactive session facilitated by Beau Lotto will take place at 20.15. The event will highlight projects that demonstrate regenerative practice in complex urban contexts, such as Norton Folgate, which combines retention of historic buildings with new construction and public realm improvements.

The RAI benchmarks the adoption of regenerative design principles in architectural projects, progress in reusing and retrofitting existing buildings, balancing preservation, refurbishment, adaptation, and new construction in urban developments, and the creation of projects that give back positively to people, place, and planet. It promotes a shift in architecture from being extractive and resource-depleting towards creating conditions that allow communities and ecosystems to thrive.

Join us on Thursday 2 October 2025 for an evening celebrating regenerative architecture and learning about the latest developments in the field. Don't miss out on this opportunity to network with industry professionals, enjoy food and drink, and dance the night away. Book your tickets today!
