Recognition Technology of Wyze's New Palm Lock Now Identifies the Veins in Your Hand

The tech world is abuzz with excitement as Wyze, the renowned home security company, unveils its latest invention - the Palm Lock. This smart fingerprint door lock system promises to revolutionise the way we secure our homes.

The Palm Lock leverages cutting-edge biometric technology to read the unique pattern of veins underneath your skin. This technology, according to Wyze's co-founder and CMO, Dave Crosby, creates a "secret handshake with your front door."

Unlike traditional fingerprint scanners, Wyze claims the Palm Lock will be quicker to use. Each "secret handshake" is unique, ensuring no two users share the same biometric data.

The Palm Lock offers a range of convenient features. Users can unlock the door via Wi-Fi controls on the Wyze app, making it easy to manage access from anywhere. The lock also has a built-in gyroscope that automatically locks the door when it detects it being closed, providing an added layer of security.

In case of emergencies, such as dead batteries, the Palm Lock comes equipped with a USB-C charging port. And worry not about battery life; Wyze claims the batteries last up to six months.

The Palm Lock interfaces with common voice assistants, such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, for hands-free operation. Homeowners can also generate limited-time codes for guests to use on the numbered keypad.

For those who prefer traditional methods, the Palm Lock can still be unlocked using a physical key. Moreover, the lock works in tandem with any Wyze video doorbells, providing a comprehensive home security system.

One key aspect of the Palm Lock's design is user privacy. Biometric data is stored on-device, not uploaded to the app or the cloud, ensuring your personal information remains secure.

The Palm Lock is now available for purchase on Wyze's website for $130. With its innovative biometric technology and convenient features, the Palm Lock is set to redefine home security.
