Oberhausen - If you're craving island vibes, you're not alone! Hordes of festival-goers flocked to Oberhausen, Germany to embrace the "Island Fever" spirit on Saturday.
In the heart of the Ruhr area, this event claimed to be the largest Mallorca party in the nation. Singer and host Frenzy ("Lights on") shared with the German Press Agency how this event captures the true essence of Mallorca, " transported" to Germany. Numerous artists, who typically perform in clubs like "Bierkönig" and "Megapark in El Arenal" graced two stages for more than ten hours at the Rudolf-Weber-Arena, overlooking Rhine-Herne Canal and Westfield Centro.
Artists such as Mickie Krause ("A Week Awake"), Mia Julia ("The Train Has No Brakes"), Lorenz Büffel ("Johnny Dapp"), Isi Glück ("Dolphin"), Julian Sommer ("Close in the Plane"), or Marc Eggers ("Top") were part of the enthusiastic crowd.
Sizzling temperature and cocktails
However, the festive atmosphere clashed with rising temperatures, beer, and sangria, leaving some of the 35,000 attendees feeling a little too Merry in Mann. Despite providing free water, paramedics were kept busy dealing with the heat-induced woes.
