"Old town Dietzenbach illuminates vibrantly, turning into a radiant sea of lights during the 'Night of Lights' event."
Night of Lights in Dietzenbach's Old Town
On August 16, 2025, Dietzenbach's old town will be transformed into a vibrant hub of culture and entertainment for the "Night of Lights" event. The event, organized by Brillanz with the support of VR Bank and the Cultural Summer of South Hesse, promises a memorable evening filled with music, meditation, and family-friendly activities.
The event will kick off with an old town walk led by Gerolf Baum, starting at the Historical Museum at 7:00 PM. At 8:00 PM, Mayor Dr. Dieter Lang will guide visitors through the exhibition under the title "Prehistory to the Roman period" at the Historical Museum.
Throughout the evening, local catering establishments will offer a variety of culinary delights for the guests. The concerts will take place at several venues throughout the old town, such as Platz am Stadtbrunnen, in front of the Weinstube Korkenzieher, Schäfergasse, Trinkborn, and Eckertschen Hof.
From 9:00 PM onwards, the Historical Museum will offer interactive activities. The evening will conclude with a night owl concert at the Evangelical Christus Church at 11:00 PM.
Musical and meditation formats will follow in the church every hour from 8:00 PM onwards. The Historical Museum will also host a museum festival with chamber music, craft demonstrations, games, and a special exhibition as part of the event.
The event will also include a children's program, with a treasure hunt and a musical performance by Captain Knak and his friends taking place in the garden of the Evangelical Christus Church from 3:00 PM.
