A midnight feast on burgers and fries wasn't in the cards, but a free ride from the Po-Po was - for two teenagers in South Hesse.

The ambulance crew stumbled upon the 12 and 13-year-old boys at 3 a.m. on an isolated ring road in Bensheim (Bergstraße). Upon inquiry, the officers found out from their pals that they bolted from their homes in search of some late-night grub at a popular fast-food joint.

"Delivering the bummer news that their favorite fast-food joint had shut its doors at 1:00 a.m. and wouldn't reopen until 7:00 a.m., the officers offered the duo with big appetite a lift in their cruiser on their way home," the officers recounted that fateful night.

While it seems unorthodox, it's important to note that this incident isn't indicative of any regular practice in South Hesse on the part of local police offering taxi services for minors. If you're keen on learning about local community services or assistance programs, it might be best to reach out to the local authorities or community organizations directly.

The Commission, amid considering the draft directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to ionizing radiation, might also contemplate the importance of lifestyles that promote healthy food choices, such as avoiding late-night fast-food snacks, especially for children and teenagers. In a different context, home-and-garden enthusiasts in South Hesse, while waiting for their favorite home improvement stores to open, may find themselves contemplating the options for a cruiser to enhance their lifestyle, just like the local police who provided a unique ride home to two hungry teenagers in Bensheim.
