World Children's Day Festival Returns to Nordhorn on September 20, 2025

Get ready for a fun-filled day as the World Children's Day Festival returns to Nordhorn on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This year's event, themed "Children's Rights: Building Blocks for Democracy", will be celebrated in over 145 countries around the world.

The festival will take place at the youth center on Denekamper Street, from 12 PM to 5 PM. The day promises a variety of creative, skill-based, and movement activities, including a low-ropes course for the more adventurous visitors.

Balloon artist Frank Boss will showcase his balloon art, adding a touch of magic to the event. For those who love a bit of colour, a popular face painting stand will also be present.

A stand on children's rights by Kinderschutzbund will be available, offering an opportunity to learn more about the importance of children's rights and the work being done by UNICEF.

Visitors are advised to wear sturdy shoes for the low-ropes course and to prepare for a day of fun. Snacks and drinks will be available at pocket money prices.

The German Caritas Association (Caritasverband Ahaus-Vreden e.V.) is the organisation behind this year's event in Nordhorn. Their aim is to strengthen support for children's rights worldwide and to support UNICEF's work.

For more information about the festival, please contact the Youth Department of the City of Nordhorn at 05921/878-332 or email hartwig.hesselink@our website. In case of bad weather, the festival will take place indoors at the youth center.

So, mark your calendars and join us for a day of fun, learning, and making a difference at the World Children's Day Festival in Nordhorn on September 20, 2025. Let's stand together for children's rights and support UNICEF's work.
