New Releases: The Top 10 Impressive Audiobooks from Audible, Available in July 2025
July 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for audiobook enthusiasts, with a diverse mix of genres to choose from. As a seasoned expert in the field of audiobooks, e-books, and e-readers, I'm delighted to share some of my top picks for this summer season.
First on our list is "Blood in the Water" by Tiffany D. Jackson. This middle-grade murder mystery, set on Martha’s Vineyard, has been praised for its suspense and twisty storytelling. Released on July 1, 2025, it's a must-listen for fans of mystery and suspense.
Scheduled for release on July 8, 2025, we have "These Summer Storms" by Sarah MacLean. A New York Times bestselling novel, this book offers a rich family drama set in New England during wild summer storms.
Another July 8 release, "The Enchanted Greenhouse" by Sarah Beth Durst, is a humorous, low-stakes fantasy involving sentient plants and themes of autonomy and family.
A powerful YA debut by Frederick Joseph, an instant New York Times bestseller, is also set to hit the shelves this summer. This book highlights social themes like book banning and is narrated by Ruffin Prentiss.
For those who appreciate immersive narration, audiobooks narrated by authors themselves or with multi-voice performances are noted to enhance enjoyment significantly. Some notable examples include "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah, a historical novel about women’s roles during WWII, known for its vivid and immersive audio.
Other authors whose works are applauded for their gripping narration include Joshilyn Jackson, Colson Whitehead, and narrators like Ronan Farrow and Patrick Radden Keefe.
Themes cover a wide range, from pulse-pounding thrillers and heartfelt romances to thought-provoking nonfiction and fantasy adventures. This summer is indeed a strong season for diverse and engaging audiobooks.
