New Music Collaboration Hub Launches in Braunschweig Region
A new service facility, the Kontaktstelle Musik Region Braunschweig, has launched to boost collaboration among musicians and music enthusiasts in the region. The platform, accessible at www.kontaktstelle-musik.de, aims to strengthen ties between local music actors and institutions.
The initiative, a model project since November 2009, is based in the department of literature and music in the cultural department of the city of Braunschweig. It supports and coordinates cross-regional projects, fostering a vibrant music scene.
The website serves as a virtual music marketplace, allowing institutions, ensembles, and educators to create profile pages and connect with each other. It facilitates searches for new members, sheet music, or rehearsal spaces. Additionally, it hosts an event calendar and information on music mediation, promotion, and further training.
Funded by several local authorities, including the city of Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Salzgitter, and Wolfenbüttel, as well as the Stiftung Braunschweigischer Kulturbesitz, the Kontaktstelle Musik Region Braunschweig is a hub for existing contact points in the region. It supports their work and civic engagement in the field of amateur music.
The Kontaktstelle Musik Region Braunschweig, led by an unnamed director, is a newly established service facility that promotes exchange and collaboration among regional music actors. Its website, www.kontaktstelle-musik.de, is a comprehensive platform for musicians and enthusiasts to present themselves, find information, and engage with the local music scene.
