A community member, Olaf Goetschenberg, has long contemplated commemorating Lang-Latum with a poster akin to those used for well-known cities like New York, an idea he's held for quite some time.

Lank-Latum now offered as wall art in poster format.

In the heart of Meerbusch, the picturesque district of Lank-Latum has received a striking new symbol—a captivating poster crafted by the ingenious mind of graphic designer David Norman. The pandemic took a brief pause on the Lank home circle's projects, but the arrival of Mr. Norman has breathed new life into their ventures.

As the chairman of the home circle, Franz-Josef Jürgens, shared the intricate poster with an A1 format, revealing the rich details it bore. Norman, born in Dublin but a long-time resident of Lank-Latum, showcased his unrivaled talent, imbuing the poster with iconic landmarks such as the church, Teloy mill, Latumer lake, and the water tower that grace this district he holds dear.

The distinctive, familiar lettering of "Lank-Latum" that adorns the poster has a nod to the legendary "Tintin" comics by the celebrated Belgian comic artist Hergé. By using the font from these beloved comics, the poster aspires to draw the attention of residents, Meerbusch dwellers, and beyond.

Jürgens expresses his hopes that the poster will garner interest and spur a positive advertising effect for the humble town of Lank-Latum. You can acquire the coveted creation directly from David Norman on his official website (www.davidnormansart.de), the Lank home circle, or the bookseller Mrs. Books on the main street of Lank-Latum. Prices differ per platform: 22 euros at the home circle, 25 euros in the bookstore, 29.50 euros from David Norman (including shipping and handling), or 22 euros for a convenient pickup option.

In an exciting turn of events, the Lank home circle has restocked their sell-out photo book—the riveting "Lank-Latum - Yesterday and Today" (2019)—for public purchase. As with all photo books by the home circle, you can acquire a copy at Mrs. Books, Meerbusch's beloved bookstore.

Other home-and-garden projects in Lank-Latum might be ambitiously pursued, echoing the captivating poster's success. Perhaps a rejuvenation of the local Other lifestyle could be inspired, drawing further attention to the district's uniqueness. Some might even find the iconic font from the poster gracing home decor, a testament to the collaborative spirit of the Lank home circle.
