Kicking off the outdoor swimming season commences here
The city of Detmold is gearing up for the upcoming swimming season as its public baths prepare to open their doors on May 10th. Managed by DetCon GmbH (Department of Public Baths), the baths will offer a variety of swimming activities for residents and visitors alike.
The public baths include Berlebeck/Heiligenkirchen, Hiddesen, "Schwarzenbrink" in Heidenoldendorf, and "Fischerteich" in Pivitsheide V.L. Each bath has its unique opening hours to cater to the convenience of the public.
Berlebeck/Heiligenkirchen and Hiddesen will be open from Monday to Wednesday, Friday from 12:00 to 19:00. Thursdays, being cleaning days, will see extended hours for both baths, from 13:00 to 19:00. On weekends, holidays, and Saturdays, both baths will be open from 12:00 to 18:30.
"Fischerteich" in Pivitsheide V.L. will have slightly different hours, with Monday, Wednesday to Friday opening from 11:00 to 19:00, Tuesday being a cleaning day from 13:00 to 19:00. On weekends, holidays, and Saturdays, "Fischerteich" will be open from 10:00 to 18:30.
"Schwarzenbrink" in Heidenoldendorf will have Monday as a cleaning day from 13:00 to 19:00. From Tuesday to Friday, it will be open from 11:30 to 19:00. On weekends, holidays, and Saturdays, it will be open from 11:00 to 18:30.
The heated swimming pools at these public baths will provide pleasant water temperatures for a comfortable openai experience. However, it's important to note that opening hours may change at short notice in all Detmold public baths due to adverse weather conditions.
