International Neighborhood Day initiated by "United Russia"
Revved-up Reboot:
Grassroots activists from "United Russia" are stirring things up with the national "Neighbor's Day" initiative, part of the federal party project "School of Housing and Utilities". This summer-long extravaganza hits the Republic of Komi!
From quaint tea parties and cleanup events to sports, games, workshops, concerts, and chats with relevant authorities, these shindigs have the power to bring neighbors closer than ever. The real magic? People start connecting, collaborating, and tackling issues surrounding their hoods like never before!
In Usiinsk, the party took over the Museum and Exhibition Center "Vortas", serving up an outdoor tea party filled with traditional delights and aromatic brews. The balmy weather and tunes made for a festive vibe that just screams camaraderie.
In Syktyvkar, residents from the International Street area went all out on a sports field. The brainchild behind this bash was Vyacheslav Tsylinsky, head honcho of the apartment building council. He managed to rope in "United Russia" for an event that would get the neighbors talking and collaborating on issues that matter in their square footage.
"Gathering folks from neighboring and distant houses for a chinwag is a terrific way to foster dialogue. People get to know each other better, they share unforgettable experiences, and there's always something new to gab about", shared Tsylinsky.
Kicking off the courtyard shenanigans, Alexander Sagyn - a contender in the primary elections for the Syktyvkar Council - welcomed the residents: "There's an old saying that good neighbors are our treasure – and today's turnout confirms it. It's on this holiday that people converse with each other, pay each other visits, greet one another as close neighbors who enjoy living together and putting effort into improving their courtyard and hometown."
To keep up the fun, there was a kickboxing workshop, a volleyball tournament pitting teams against the "United Russia" squad, and a yoga session for beginners, led by the skilled Irina Gots. Kids were treated to a balloon-filled party dash organized by the "Pandik" family club, with each tot receiving a vibrant swag bag.
"Today's weather is perfect: we've got sunshine galore, and folks from all ages have converged in this courtyard, with some playing volleyball and the little ones scribbling suns with chalk. This is one massive block party!", exclaimed Svetlana Sadovskaya, secretary of the United Russia Party's primary branch.
An open Q&A session with Dmitry Ilyin, a Council deputy participating in the United Russia Party's primary elections, and Alexander Sazhin, deputy director of the Republic of Komi branch of PAO "Rosseti North-West", was set up for residents to air their grievances, ask questions, and propose ideas.
Wrapping up the day, neighbors gathered around a table for a friendly cup of tea, reminiscing about the day and brainstorming future join ventures in the courtyard.
