In an unfortunate turn of events, a shooting occurred early Sunday morning in Syracuse, New York. The incident took place around 12:20 a.m., specifically in the 900 block of Park Avenue on the West Side of the city.

The Syracuse Police Department was alerted to the scene following a ShotSpotter alert. Upon arrival, officers found a 27-year-old man being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was later transported to Upstate University Hospital.
