IAA Transportation to unveil multiple commercial vehicles equipped with solar innovations in their upcoming premier event

At the IAA Transportation 2022 event in Hanover, Germany, Daimler Truck subsidiary FUSO unveiled the Next Generation eCanter, an all-electric light truck, emphasising sustainability and CO2-neutral driving operation. This next-generation eCanter boasts increased power, efficiency, and range, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications with customised e-mobility solutions tailored to different needs. The vehicle was celebrated for its European production start at the Mitsubishi FUSO Europe plant in Tramagal, Portugal, marking a significant milestone as the plant also reached the production of 250,000 FUSO Canter units since 1980.

Meanwhile, pioneering solar-powered mobility company Sono Group will be showcasing their solar solutions at the same event. The company, whose solar technology is engineered for seamless integration into various vehicle architectures, will present partner projects, including the CHEREAU Refrigerated Trailer and three more premieres of vehicles and corporations in the trailer and refrigerated vehicle industries. This will mark Sono Group's first time participating as an exhibitor at IAA Transportation.

Laurin Hahn, CEO and Co-Founder of Sono Group, stated that their solar solutions can save fuel and costs, increase range and autarky, and help meet new emission regulations. The Solar Bus Kit, which enables CO2 emissions and fuel savings, was previewed at Sono Group's Celebrate the Sun event on 25 July. At IAA Transportation, the company will debut the All New Solar Bus Kit and state-of-the-art solar solutions for refrigerated trailers, e-buses, and e-transporters.

Although the search results do not specify direct solar integration in the Next Generation eCanter at IAA Transportation 2022, Daimler Truck and FUSO are recognised pioneers of sustainable transport, strongly focusing on renewable energy and CO2-neutral mobility. Sono Group's collaboration projects include customised e-mobility solutions developed by FUSO Europe experts during factory tours and driving events, highlighting cooperative efforts to adapt electric trucks for diverse commercial needs.

Investors can find information about Sono Group at ir.ourwebsite.com, and the company's website can be found at www.ourwebsite.com. The event will take place in Hall 26 Booth C02 in cooperation with partners. The IAA Transportation event runs from 19-25 September.
