Delaware County and Strawberry Point Residents: Electronics & Household Hazardous Waste Clean-up Day Approaching
Mark your calendars, as the Electronics & Household Hazardous Waste Clean-up Day is fast approaching! This joint event, sponsored by the Delaware County Solid Waste Commission and the Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency, will take place on September 13th, 2020, at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester.
This special collection day offers residents a chance to safely dispose of a wide range of items. Acceptable electronics for the clean-up day include TVs, monitors, laptops, computers, printers, video players, small kitchen appliances, cords, cables, and networking equipment.
In addition to electronics, the clean-up day also accepts household hazardous waste such as latex paint, oil-based paint, household cleaners, motor oil/oil filters, old gasoline, residential fertilizers/pesticides, aerosol cans, antifreeze, household fluorescent bulbs, CFLs, mercury bulbs, halogen bulbs, sharps (in rigid, sealed containers), rechargeable batteries, and ink/toner cartridges.
Please note that appliances will not be accepted at the clean-up day. Other items not accepted include farm chemicals, business chemicals/waste, ammunition/explosives, diethyl ether, ether, and picric acid.

The Electronics & Household Hazardous Waste Clean-up Day is a great opportunity for residents of Delaware County and Strawberry Point to safely dispose of unwanted hazardous waste and electronic items. There is no charge for bringing acceptable items to the clean-up day.
