The "Blooming Courtyard" contest, which accepts applications until August 15, invites local residents to get involved in landscape design and improvement. Inspired by the initiative of one resident, Yulia, multiple neighbours on Rydionova Street have joined forces to remove trash, improve recreation areas, and create a garden in their courtyard. These improvements will be submitted for the contest, which is open to residents of Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Arzamas, Bogorodsk, and Kstovo.
The contest, taking place on August 4, 2025, aims to inspire more residents to follow suit. Winners of the contest will receive a 5,000 ruble certificate on a marketplace.
Dmitry Sivokhin, general director of AO "Teploenergo", serves as the coordinator of the "Social District" project in the Nizhny Novgorod district. The project unites residents from various locations, including Rydionova Street, and supports civic initiatives that aim to improve the local community.
