Hochschule Landshut Launches Innovative Sustainable Architecture Program in 2025
The University of Applied Sciences Landshut is set to launch an innovative architecture program, starting in the winter semester 2025/26. This program, based in the 'architectural treasure trove' of Landshut, aims to educate future architects to drive a sustainable construction turnaround.
The construction industry contributes significantly to global CO2 emissions and waste, with 40% and 60% respectively. The architecture program at Hochschule Landshut focuses on sustainability issues, preparing students to tackle these challenges head-on.
The program offers a Professorship for Urbanistik, with applications closing on November 15, 2025. Lectures will take place both on campus and in vacant spaces within Landshut, providing a unique learning environment. Students will learn to design and implement projects themselves, promising excellent career prospects in a field where demand is rising due to the shift towards sustainable construction.
The architecture program at the University of Applied Sciences Landshut is now accepting applications for the winter semester until June 15. With numerous international excursions planned, such as to Venice, students will gain a global perspective on sustainable architecture. The program's focus on sustainability ensures that graduates will be well-equipped to meet the growing demand for well-trained architects in the construction industry.
