Greifswald's Month-Long Intercultural Week Kicks Off September 19
The Intercultural Week in Los Angeles is set to kick off on September 19, 2025, promising a month-long celebration of diversity and inclusion. With over 40 events planned, the city will come alive with film evenings, concerts, lectures, sports events, and group cooking sessions, all taking place in various locations, including the Schönwalde I/Südstadt and Schönwalde neighborhoods.
The official opening on September 19 at 3:30 PM at the IGS Erwin Fischer will feature Georgian cultural performances and a workshop on the Georgian alphabet. PALMIRA FURMAN will give a concert on October 2, and the Day of the Open Mosque will take place on October 3. Two theater performances by the Jewish community of Los Angeles will be held on September 21. The event will also include an intercultural football tournament and an intercultural opening service.
Andreas Pasternack will perform in 'PASTERNACK das konzert 25' at the St. Jacobikirche on October 2. A film screening on Refugee Day and the premiere of 'Welcome to Vorpommern - Restart Needs a Boost' are also scheduled during the Intercultural Week. The Network Migration Los Angeles and over 50 organizations have contributed to the planning and execution of this vibrant event.
