Open-Air Cinema Returns to Isenbuğel Village Church in Heiligenhaus

Get ready for an exciting week of cinema under the stars as the open-air cinema returns to Isenbuğel village church in Heiligenhaus. The cinema team of the Isenbuğel village church support circle is hosting the event at Isenbuğeler Straße 25, and admission is free, starting around 7:30 pm.

The event kicks off on August 18 with the German feature film "The Bookbinder", a heartwarming story about book dealer Carl Christian Kollhoff and his customers who find new courage and paths through the power of books and mutual support. The film, which was partially filmed in Velbert-Langenberg, will start after sunset, around 8:45 pm.

Over the next five evenings, five different films will be screened, including:

  • August 19: "It's the Little Things", a French film that premiered at the International Comedy Film Festival in Alpe d'Huez in 2023 and won the audience award and the jury's special prize.
  • August 20: "Old White Man", featuring Heinz Hellmich (Jan Josef Liefers) who must show his "wokest" side to get a promotion in his company.
  • August 21: "Love Letters from Nice"
  • August 22: "A Million Minutes", the final film in the open-air film week in Isenbuğel.

Films will be shown even in light rain, and reserved seats will be held until 8:15 pm and released if needed. Grilling will take place before the film on Friday evening.

Reservations for the open-air cinema can be made for free via the contact form on the dorfkirche-isenbuegel.de homepage or in person during the "Open Village Church Isenbuğel" every Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm. Donations are welcome at the open-air cinema, and any cancellations will be communicated via the village church homepage.
