Festival in Langenberg Caters to Various Age Groups with Diverse Attractions
The Langenberg Summer Festival is set to return for its fourth year, taking place on August 22nd and 23rd. This exciting event, organized by the Langenberg Business Association and the City Marketing, promises something for all generations.
On the first day of the festival, visitors can enjoy street food, cool drinks, and stage performances starting at 5 pm. The Spectaculum association will kick off the evening with a mix of various musicals, followed by the cover band Fluxx playing classics from pop, rock, and soul.
The second day of the festival begins with a musical interactive show, Maike's Rapplekiste, starting at 2:30 pm on the stage. At the same time, activities for children at the Kreiersiepen will also commence, offering a bouncy castle, visits from the blacksmith Zagon, a teddy clinic for cuddly toys, and a chance to meet the fire department and Langenberger Sports Association.
For those interested in climate and flood protection, the municipal climate department will be participating, offering information and activities. Registration for the guided climate walk, which starts at 2:30 pm, is required by email at [email protected]. The meeting point for the walk is the Hellerstraße bridge, with a maximum capacity of 15 participants.
On the second day of the festival, at 3:30 pm, there will be magic and balloon art for children. The festivities will conclude with Melody Road playing current hits and party music at 8 pm.
It's worth noting that some streets in Langenberg will be closed from August 22nd at 7 am to August 24th at 2 am during the festival weekend. Froweinplatz and Kamper Straße (up to no. 19) will be affected, with replacement bus stops set up and the underground garage at Froweinplatz only accessible via Voßkuhlstraße.
