Heads up, Moers residents! The obscure patch at the rear end of our town's parking lot is getting a much-needed makeover! In an exciting collaboration with the "Plant a Tree" association and other local groups in Schwafheim, this long-forgotten corner is set to shine once more.
The transformation includes sprucing up the space with a fresh, accessible pathway that'll guide you effortlessly. Two cozy benches have already been installed, and we're not just stopping there! Additional seating in the form of boulders is on the way, along with a signpost displaying the game rules for the planned boules court.
Marina Poorten, from the Department of Open Space and Environmental Planning of the City of Moers, shares her vision: "We're creating an inviting gathering spot for all ages – not just seasoned boules enthusiasts, but also for those eager to give it a try for the first time."
So, young, old, and everyone in between, get ready to roll those boules in Moers' revitalized park! Other improvements in the park include transforming the area into an outdoor-lifestyle space with home-and-garden elements, such as flower beds and greenery.
