European Bodies Approve Resolution Regarding Matter Discussed by Parliament and Council
Get ready for a magical night in Neustadt, Germany! The Piepe Lantern Parade ("Piepe Laternenumzug") is set to return on November 15th, 2025, promising an enchanting evening of community spirit, music, and light.
This local tradition sees participants carrying homemade lanterns and walking through the streets of Neustadt, often accompanied by the melodious tunes of the Bremen Ukulele Orchestra. The event will kick off with a farewell party from 5:30 pm, offering hot drinks and snacks on the premises and the adjacent car park.
The parade's meeting point will be the kiosk at Werdersee by the Deichschart, near the "Kirchweg" tram stop, at 4 pm. The parade procession will commence at 4:30 pm, following a route along the Kleine Weser.
The Neustadt Stadtteilmanagement and the Martinsclub Bremen e. V. are the main organizers of this event, with financial support from Sparkasse Bremen. Participants can join the parade in a wheelchair, and a list of participating businesses can be found online at www.martinsclub.de/piepeleuchten.
As the highlight of the event, fire artist Gordon Ruff will present a mesmerising fire show at 6 pm. Additionally, emergency vehicles from police, fire brigade, and Johanniter will be open for inspection during the evening.
