Bruce Dickinson, the legendary vocalist and guitarist, has recently released a remixed version of his 1994 album "More Balls To Picasso". The new edition, released on July 25, 2025, was produced by Shay Baby and recorded with collaborator Roy "Z" Ramirez and the band Tribe of Gypsies.

The remix was intended to be heavier than the original version, a vision shared by Roy Z, the guitarist. However, Shay Baby almost steered the remix in a different direction, making it less heavy. Dickinson felt that the original version of "Balls To Picasso" was not full-on enough, and he aimed to rectify this in the remix.

The album's 1994 single, "Tears Of The Dragon", was a significant success. Dickinson's solo career began in the late 1980s, and "Balls To Picasso" was particularly significant as it was released during his absence from Iron Maiden from 1993 to '99.

The album also marked Dickinson's first solo release, "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter", which was contributed to the "A Nightmare On Elm Street 5" soundtrack. Janick Gers, the current Maiden guitarist, was a friend of Dickinson and contributed to the song. At the time, Gers was having a hard time finding a gig and was considering selling his equipment and becoming a teacher.

In a recent exclusive interview with Metal Hammer, Dickinson discussed his early solo career, the launch of his solo career, and the success of his singles. The conversation also covered topics such as the direction of the "More Balls To Picasso" remix and the planned release date for his next solo album, which is set for 2027.

Currently, Dickinson is touring North America with his solo band. The next stop for his tour is at the House Of Blues in Dallas on August 29. Fans can catch a full chat with Dickinson discussing his early solo career, which can be watched below.

Meanwhile, Dickinson is working on his next solo album of original material. He made it clear that he did not intend for the "More Balls To Picasso" remix to be similar to "Tattooed Millionaire". The new album promises to be a unique addition to Dickinson's discography, further cementing his place as a rock legend.
