Cultural festival in Dormagen from 21st September, offering a diverse range of events

The city of Dormagen is preparing for its annual Intercultural Week, a celebration of diversity and unity supported by numerous organizations and institutions. From September 21 to 28, Dormagen will join over 750 cities and communities in celebrating its 50th Intercultural Week, coordinated by the churches with the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and the German Bishops' Conference playing significant roles. The event's theme this year is 'For!', reflecting the diversity of Dormagen's society.

The week-long event kicks off on Sunday, September 21, at 5:30 PM with prayers of different religions at the Römerhaus, Kölner Straße 36. The Council of Religions invites everyone to participate. A free city tour focusing on Dormagen's Roman origins is also available, requiring prior registration at www.swd-website/tourism/roman-tours-through-the-old-town. Another city tour starts at 2 PM on Sunday, September 28, meeting at the historic town hall on the Paul-Wierich-Platz.

The city library hosts a picture book cinema for children aged 4 to 7 on Friday, September 26, at 4:30 PM at Marktplatz 1. Meanwhile, the internationally known guitar duo Tierra Negra will perform at the City Bookstore in Kölner Straße 110 at 8 PM. Tickets for their performance are €22.

Young adults aged 18 to 27 are invited to join a trip to the Garden of Religions, registrations can be made by phone at 02133 477802. On Wednesday, September 24, the Youth Migration Service of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss is organizing a trip to the Garden of Religions in Cologne.

Dormagen's Intercultural Week enriches the city's society, reflecting its diversity and making it a vibrant and welcoming place.
