Corn maze exploration with alpacas kick-starts at Hof Hauswörmann during its celebratory season
On the 18th of July, Hof Hauswörmann in Osnabrück marked the beginning of its 25th corn maze season. This year, the maze takes visitors on a journey through the mountain world of South America and the cultural heritage of the Incas.
From the 18th of July until the 31st of October, the corn maze will be open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Visitors can explore the maze for free on the 21st of July, between 1:30 pm and 4 pm, as part of Kathi's Makeup Box's spontaneous appearances at the playground.
The maze is divided into two parts, suitable for families with younger children and older visitors. The first part, designed for families, takes approximately 30 minutes and features the 'Inca's Gold Treasure'. Visitors can expect more stations with information about the Andes world and Inca culture in the second part. In two weeks, the paths in the first part will be well-trodden, making it more accessible for those with sturdy strollers.
For those seeking a spookier experience, the corn maze will transform into a haunted maze on the 17th and 18th of October. This event, complete with live actors and fog effects, is suitable for guests aged 16 and above. Admission is higher for this event, and it's recommended to visit during the day beforehand for orientation.
Visitors can enjoy numerous other attractions such as go-karts, trampolines, a sand pit, and the giant straw fort for an additional fee of 4 euros per person. The Hof is also showcasing a variety of potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, and corn, which are owed to the indigenous population of South America. Colorful varieties of potatoes and tomatoes, including purple potatoes and striped tomatoes, can be discovered on the grounds and are also available in the farm shop.
Those with a pass from Osnabrück or Georgsmarienhütte can enter the maze for a reduced price. The corn maze can be accessed via Sutthauser Straße and is also reachable by bus line M3 (stop: Burenkamp). More information about opening hours, group bookings, and additional offers like bonfires can be found on the Hof Hauswörmann website (www.hof-hauswoermann.de).
On October 31st, the spooky variant of the corn maze will offer a unique Halloween experience. Don't miss out on this exciting adventure!
