Christmas collection of pine trees happens on the 10th of January
Solingen residents are advised of changes to their waste collection schedule due to the upcoming Christmas tree collection. The revised schedule can be found on the city's waste navigator or waste calendar.
The collection of remaining and bio-containers, as well as yellow and blue containers, has been rescheduled to accommodate the collection of Christmas trees. The Technical Operations Solingen (TBS) will collect used Christmas trees on Friday, January 10. However, due to the Christmas tree collection, the exact revised dates for the remaining containers are yet to be confirmed.
For accurate and updated revised collection dates, residents are encouraged to check Solingen's official city or waste management service website directly or contact their customer service.
In the meantime, here are some guidelines for Christmas tree collection:
- Only undecorated Christmas trees will be taken for collection.
- The trees must be placed visibly in front of the property by 7:00 AM.
- The trees should not obstruct or endanger traffic during collection.
- The trees must not have nets, bags, or tops.
- The trunk diameter of the trees must not exceed 15 centimeters.
- The length of the trees must not exceed two meters.
- The collection scheduled for January 10 will be made up on Monday, January 13.
- Collection points have been set up to facilitate the collection of the trees.
The collected Christmas trees will be composted at the composting facility of Entsorgung Solingen. Let's all do our part in recycling and making Solingen a greener city.
Residents are reminded to check the waste navigator or waste calendar for the revised collection dates of their remaining containers that were rescheduled due to the upcoming home-and-garden project, which is the collection of Christmas trees. To ensure a smoother collection process for the home-and-garden waste and the Christmas trees, follow the provided guidelines carefully.
