Children's Workshop Celebrating World Oceans Day in Dusseldorf
Join us for a fun and educational workshop titled "On the go with Kira Coralline" at the Aquazoo, Düsseldorf, on Sunday, June 8th. This event, designed for children aged 5 to 10, will take place from 10 am to 12:30 pm and promises to be a memorable experience for all.
In this workshop, you'll embark on a captivating underwater journey, brought to life with real footage, a marine backdrop, and interactive elements. The story revolves around a little coral named Kira who seeks to become the most colorful one in the ocean. Alina Gries, the author of the book "Kira Coralline", will read from her book during the workshop.
As part of the workshop, you'll encounter various marine life, including sea turtles, jellyfish, sharks, squids, moray eels, rays, and seahorses. Experts will be on hand to provide fascinating insights into these creatures.
But the learning doesn't stop there! Participants will be equipped with gloves, trash bags, and tongs for a hands-on activity focused on fighting against pollution. Victoria Blocksdorf from "Blockblocks Cleanup" will demonstrate environmental protection during the workshop. Parents are welcome to join the tour, reading, and subsequent clean-up.
It's important to remember that litter from cities can end up in the sea and become a danger to marine animals and corals. By participating in this workshop, you'll not only have a great time but also learn about the importance of protecting our oceans.
Registration for this limited-place event is required by email to [email protected]. The Aquazoo entrance fee is the only cost associated with this workshop. So, gear up for a day filled with learning, fun, and a commitment to our oceans at the Aquazoo on World Oceans Day!
