Brand New Shopping Experience at Holt Renfrew's ON 3 Floor
Boosting High-End Shopping Ambience through Improved Acoustics
Holt Renfrew, well-known for its luxury department stores, unveiled a fresh shopping experience at its Downtown Toronto location with a revamped ON 3 floor. To create an immersive retail atmosphere, they partnered with GAV MGMT for the audiovisual elements needed to support store events.
GAV MGMT chose 1 SOUND's Cannon C5s as the core of the distributed audio system for their outstanding sound quality and compact size. Understanding Holt Renfrew's desire for a discreet setup, 1 SOUND designed a new accessory, the Swivel Mount, for the Cannon Series, enabling horizontal and vertical aiming without compromising on sound quality. This arrangement blends seamlessly into Holt Renfrew's luxury retail space, eliminating the need for external rentals.
"The Cannons in the space sound fantastic," said Jonathon Duquette, technical director of GAV MGMT. "They offer a unique texture to their sound that's captivating to listen to. We can chat and move throughout the space without feeling like we're shouting over the music, yet the music remains present and intimate."
To add a bit of audio punch to the space, GAV MGMT deployed 1 SOUND's WSUB45 subwoofers, hidden within the ceiling and mounted using the WSUB45 C-Clamp accessory. The audio was powered by Powersoft’s efficient and durable T304 and T604 amplifiers—all elements exactly what you'd expect in a top-tier retail setup.
Store management expressed their delight with the new audio system, noting its sophisticated design and exceptional sound quality. "The entire team at Holt Renfrew is excited to showcase the new space to our customers and provide them with a unique shopping experience on ON 3," said Ralph Roach, DVP, and general manager of Holt Renfrew's Bloor Street store. "We believe our customers will fall in love with the redefined space we've created."
