Bicycle Rental Service for Kids Provided by "Rössle Kids"
In a bid to support families with limited financial resources, Stuttgart has recently launched a new initiative called "Roßle Kids". This program, part of the broader E-cargo bike rental program in the city, offers low-cost children's bicycle rentals.
The program is managed and overseen by Neue Arbeit gGmbH, the same organisation responsible for the popular "Stuttgart's Roßle" electric cargo bikes. Families can rent bicycles for their children at a reduced cost, with fees starting from €5 per month for families with a Bonuscard + Kultur, and €8 per month for families with a FamilienCard.
The rental agreement is for a minimum of six months, with the option to cancel on a monthly basis thereafter. To cater to growing children, it's possible to upgrade to a larger bicycle if one is available. Currently, 60 bicycles in sizes 16, 20, and 24 inches are available for rent at bike service stations in Bad Cannstatt and Vaihingen.
