Baby-friendly beach event kicks off in Verbania: Sports take center stage as a charity affair

The much-anticipated 10th anniversary of the Beach for Babies (B4B) beach volleyball tournament is set to begin tomorrow in the heart of Intra, Italy. This year's event promises an exciting mix of music, surprises, and a festive atmosphere that will captivate participants and spectators alike.

The administrative machine behind B4B has grown significantly over the years, with over 180 volunteers and more than 100 supporting businesses ensuring a smooth-running tournament until August 3rd. The event's founder, Luca Parma, attributes its success to a sense of belonging among participants that allows for seamless organisation.

B4B was founded in 2014 by six individuals: Luca Parma, Massimo Ronchi, Paolo Margarini, Massimiliano Lanzalacqua, Alberto Franzini, and Alberto Mosini. Ten years on, the friendship of these founders remains the solid foundation upon which B4B has grown. Paolo Margarini finds ten years of B4B to be a moment of the year that gives him the most satisfaction.

The "Gold edition" of B4B will feature daily matches and side events, taking place on the newly improved "E.on Arena" with better lighting and effects. The beach volleyball court has been brought to the heart of Intra to foster participation and turn the event into a spectacle.

Large screens, music, food, and branded B4B bins for differentiated waste collection in synergy with ConSer Vco, are all part of this year's B4B. A mascotte has been designed for the 10th edition of B4B by Fra! Design, adding to the overall excitement.

The commitment of all volunteers, including professionals who support B4B, is rewarded by the enthusiasm generated by the event. As Luca Parma puts it, "B4B is in full health." The commitment of the volunteers and the public's response have made B4B a crescendo in terms of both the offering and the public's response.

As we prepare for the opening night of B4B, it's clear that this year's event promises to be a memorable one, celebrating ten years of friendship, camaraderie, and beach volleyball in Intra.

Despite the scale and complexity of this year's B4B, with over 180 volunteers and 100 supporting businesses, the event maintains a deep-rooted sense of camaraderie that originated from the six founders: Luca Parma, Massimo Ronchi, Paolo Margarini, Massimiliano Lanzalacqua, Alberto Franzini, and Alberto Mosini. As Paolo Margarini revels, the annual B4B event serves as a highlight in his lifestyle, offering a satisfying fusion of home-and-garden (community spirit), sports (beach volleyball), and entertainment (music, surprises).
