Art gallery in Clifton Springs unveils fresh exhibitions
For over two decades, FingerLakes1.com has been the region's leading all-digital news publication, providing news without print or broadcast limitations to its loyal readers. Now, the platform is partnering with Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs to bring two exciting new exhibitions to the community.
The main event, titled "Geo+Metric," is a large group show spanning the first and second floors of the Main Gallery. Featuring 41 artists from across New York State, this exhibition showcases a diverse range of contemporary art, including quilts, beadwork, sculpture, and ink. The "Geo+Metric" exhibition opened on Saturday, August 2, 2025, with an artist reception from 3-6 pm. While the exact end date for the exhibition has not been specified, art enthusiasts are encouraged to visit before September 3 to catch the captivating display.
In addition to the "Geo+Metric" exhibition, the James Street Gallery at Main Street Arts is hosting a separate showcase of oil portraits by renowned Rochester painter Nancy Wiley. Known for her unique focus on human expression, Wiley's exhibition features oil portraits of hands near faces, offering a thought-provoking take on the traditional genre.
The Stairwell Gallery at Main Street Arts is also home to the work of Nancy Wiley, adding an extra dimension to her exhibition. These exhibitions, reported by 13WHAM, offer a fantastic opportunity to experience the work of both established and emerging artists from the region.
