Annual Theater Event Happening in Lübeck (16th Edition)
Lübeck, Germany - Get ready for an exciting evening as Lübeck's theater makers prepare to host the 16th Lübeck Theater Night on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm. This annual event takes place at 20 houses and 25 ensembles, inviting both Lübeck residents and interested guests to enjoy a diverse range of performances.
At the Paravicini Circus Theater, audiences can witness excerpts from the contemporary circus show Zampanos World in a tent at the Dom. The mobile puppet theater Zaunkoenig will also be present, showcasing the Polish fairy tale The Royal Reward (from 5 years) at the Lübeck Wordship.
For dance enthusiasts, TanzOrtNord offers insights into the working methods and artistic process of the free ensemble. Meanwhile, at Theater am Tremser Teich, children can enjoy scenes from the famous legend The Pied Piper of Hamelin (from 4 years), and workshops for children are available.
Musical entertainment can be found at Theater Fabelhaft with My Fair Lübeck, and at the Lübeck Summer Operetta, which features well-known works and forgotten melodies in traditional direction and grand equipment. Comedy Lübeck presents excerpts from the current comedy "The Kidney."
The innovative concert series KLANGRAUSCHEN - Music for curious ears takes place at Haus Eden. For opera lovers, the Pocket Opera Lübeck offers opera to go, with additional performances of Der Ring (for children) and Der Vampir (for adults).
Theater Lübeck opens at 5 pm and offers a diverse program, including previews of the new season, workshops, and a closing party. The newly founded children's and youth theater Das junge Schauspiel Lübeck is participating for the first time with new productions of Hey, Hey, Hey, Taxi! and Raus aus dem Haus at the transition house.
The improvisation and acting group Theater Freispiel shows excerpts from their new production Die Firma in an optician's store on Königstraße. The Acting School of the GEMEINNÜTZIGEN presents excerpts from the current productions of the children's and adults' courses.
